Another layer of security is provided by a randomly generated "salt" combined with your master password. This helps protect against offline dictionary attacks.
The 512-bit "salt" and your master password are used to create the key that unlocks the data file. This key is then hashed 1000 times by SHA-256, making it difficult for brute force attacks to succeed.
In the event of multiple unsuccessful unlock attempts, the app supports auto destruction of the data file.
